Emily N. Dodd

Attorney
Emily N. Dodd

Emily N. Dodd prides herself and her practice on having strong communication and building meaningful relationships with her clients. Her legal practice focuses on workers’ compensation defense, representing employers in claims involving workplace injuries, occupational diseases, and compliance matters. She is admitted to practice law in the state of Ohio.
Before transitioning to employer-side representation, Emily spent several years representing claimants. Her firsthand experience on the claimant’s side allows her to anticipate arguments, identify potential challenges early, and craft balanced, strategic defenses. This dual perspective enables her to approach each case with a well-informed, comprehensive understanding of the law and the claims process.
Emily’s decision to pursue a legal career was inspired early in life by her father, who is an attorney. From a young age, she knew she wanted a career where she could advocate for others and solve complex problems with a sense of purpose.
Emily earned her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School. During her time in law school, she clerked for a Columbus firm where she gained experience in the areas of workers’ compensation, personal injury and employment law. She received her Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University, where she majored in Public Management, Leadership, and Policy with a minor in Political Science.
A Columbus native, Emily grew up in Worthington and has deep roots in the local community. Outside the office, she enjoys cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes and spending quality time with her family, friends and her golden retriever, Hank.
